Welcome to the first ever Pi Convention!
Tomorrow we are going to have the first session of the Pi convention. The online Convention will have 5 sessions in total.
By design, we have created the convention content to span across two weeks. This is to reduce information overload, but to also allow all our community members across the world to be able to access all the content.
The five sessions including three Pi Panels and two speaker sessions will be delivered on the following schedule:
- October 15 - Pi Speaker Session: Pi Node update and future plans
- October 19 - Pi Panel: Community and Governance
- October 22 - Pi Speaker Session: Pi Apps platform and third party developer demos
- October 26 - Pi Panel: The future of Pi Mining
- October 29 - Pi Panel: Industry
All sessions will be presented as pre-recorded videos broadcasted on the home screen of the Pi app on those dates. For the past month, we have been gathering short-video submissions from Pioneers through online applications, Chat Moderator recommendations, and email reach-outs.
The Core Team reviewed thousands of short video submissions for the convention. Due to convention time limits we selected well thought-out, articulate and clear videos that are representative of the views of Pioneers. We used these to be featured in the Convention sessions.
Pioneers who did not submit their videos can participate in the discussion during the session in the format of forums in Topics, where Pioneers can add their opinions about the topic in text or upvote and downvote others’.
Disclaimer: We have invited many several guest speakers & pioneers to present and speak at the Pi Convention. Their views, product and talks are their own, and do not represent the official Pi Core team's views & development. There will be many new ideas and proposed concepts designed to generate conversations on how we can further advance the Pi community together.
All official news will come only from Pi Core team speakers and we will label them in the video for clear distinction.
